I am submitting a request to install a wood fence to enclose a portion of our side and backyard. Our property is being surveyed to determine the best configuration of the fence. We seek this fence for child and pet security.. The proposed fence will be a combination of treated lumbar post and two rail with wire fencing. The north side of the house will be enclosed from the corner of the house to the adjacent neighbors fence (Adams residence). The back yard will follow property line up to south corner of the house.

Request to install a 6' brown, dog-ear style fence in her back yard.  The purpose of the fence is to contain our dog on her property.

Reason for Disapproval

The HOA typically only approves privacy fences for homes backed up to major streets.  Typically a 4.5 picket fence or split rail with wire mesh can contain most animals. Could you provide further justification why a 6' ft fence is needed?

We would like to install a 2-rail wood fence to match our neighbor’s fence in our backyard, to improve the landscaping and protect the property from wild life. We would also like to install 4' White Cedar spaced picket fence to match our other neighbor’s fence in the front. All fence will be built on or inside from the perimeter of our property as shown on the following attached drawing.
