These are guidelines, not covenants, and subject to the approval of the Architectural Review Board.
FENCING
Fencing can detract from the open character of Hollymead and may have both a visual and a physical impact on the adjoining property and the overall community. All fencing must be approved prior to installation.
There are two acceptable fencing types;
- 4 foot yard fencing
- 6 foot privacy fencing (Only for homes between Broad Crossings and Hollymead Drive)
Yard fencing:
- Fencing shall be 48 inches from ground level to the top of the top rail or board. The fence shall have a minimum of a 1” slot between vertical or horizontal boards.
- Vinyl coated wire mesh may be fixed to the inside of the fence but it shall have minimum 2 x 4 inch openings.
- Fencing setbacks shall be 6 feet from street.
- Fences can be sealed or stained as long as end result is a white or natural color.
Privacy fencing:
- Only for homes between Broad Crossings and Hollymead Drive
- Fencing shall be 72 inches from ground level to the top of the top rail or board.
- Fencing setbacks shall be 6 feet from street.
- Fences can be sealed or stained as long as end result is a white or natural color.
Unacceptable fencing:
- Plastic, vinyl, chain link, or wire fencing
- Privacy fencing other than as defined above
- Incomplete application
Your application should include:
- A description of the fence design including type and dimensions.
- A simple drawing or description of the proposed location of the fence and any gates.
- The materials and colors to be used.
