The pool is owned by the Hollymead Citizens Association and is within walking distance of many residents.  Membership is optional and open to all residents of Hollymead and families with children on the Hollymead swim team. 

In 2006, membership will also be available to up to 50 non-residents who live within the greater "Hollymead Community" (map) as defined by Albemarle County.

The Hollymead Hammerheads swim team competes in the local Jefferson Swim League.  Children 18 and under who can swim one length of the pool are welcome to join!  For further information, including registration forms, fees, and schedules, visit the team's Web site.
